PrimEVIL 2017 - Review

October 12, 2017 - October 31, 2017 | Lenwade, Norfolk

It’s Halloween season again; time for ghouls and gruesome creatures to take their place in the world of darkness. To mark this creepy time of year, nationally acclaimed PrimEVIL has returned for its eighth year to scare the heebie-jeebies out of the Norfolk population, taking over the Norwich Dinosaur Park after nightfall, until the 31st October.

As night falls over the park, monsters, vampires and zombies come out to play. They roam the grounds, targeting – and sometimes chasing – the unsuspecting public, lurking behind corners ready to leap out and entice you into their traps. Nestling among the park’s daytime attractions are five terrifying scenarios: experience ‘Mayhem Manor Hotel’ where the staff will try to persuade you to stay for eternity; try not to lose all control of your senses in ‘The Crypt’; take a disturbing walk through the ‘Forest of Fear’; try to avoid contact with the ‘Infected’; and visit the ‘CarnEVIL of Terror’, where the entertainers offer a different kind of fun…

With a haunting collection of rattling cages, and sudden frights, bright flashes and eerie sounds, PrimEVIL’s attractions are some of the scariest things you’ll ever see. Inside each one, there is terror around every corner. Feeling like you’re in a horror movie, you won’t trust anything you see. Screams ring out in the darkness, leading you to fear the unknown, in a world of crazy monsters who will torture and torment you. With all the sensory demands, it is easy to become disorientated, which only adds to the adrenaline rush. Diminishing one sense heightens the others, leaving you wondering what on earth is going to happen next.

With a heart racing atmosphere that messes with your head, it all feels very real. As the suspense builds, you’ll become suspicious of all shadows – including your own. You’ll experience a breathtaking feeling of terrifying anticipation as you try to avoid the horrifying monsters that may or may not leap out in front of you, or creep up behind you, blocking your way to safety. You’ll need to keep your wits about you as you venture through the monster’s lairs – there is no turning back once you start the spine chilling journey…

PrimEVIL is just awesome. The actors are amazing, their costumes and timing designed for pure terror. Never breaking character they epitomise everything that nightmares are made of. If you love the excitement of being scared, and are feeling brave, you’ll have a fantastic evening of terrifying thrills. Make sure you bring your friends along – there’s safety in numbers – but try not to get separated!

Be warned, you may never want to walk through woods again!
